The search for a better material
Bebambo was born from a love for clothing and one clear conviction: fashion can be more beautiful and more conscious.
During an extensive search, various materials were examined, from organic cotton and hemp to lyocell and recycled fibers. Bamboo stood out.
The plant grows quickly, requires little water, and does not need to be replanted after harvesting. The fabric feels soft, breathes, and is exceptionally comfortable to wear.
That is how bamboo became more than just a detail in the story. It became the starting point for Bebambo.
Slow fashion
With our own collection, we do not work with trends and seasons. We develop timeless models and colors that can last for several years.
In this way, we avoid unnecessary changes and build, step by step, a range of clothing that stores can offer for longer and customers can wear more often.
For private labels, we are flexible in producing our clients' creations, either on a one-off or periodic basis, at our studio in Portugal.
The face behind Bebambo
Today, Nicolas De Cremer is at the helm of Bebambo. As the managing director of DECCO International, he brings four generations of experience in textiles and clothing production.
He continues to build on the knowledge and material research with which Fina Vanbuel established Bebambo and Bamboo Belgium. With the same focus on bamboo, quality, and European production. And with a clear goal: to help more clothing brands make better choices.
We make your clothing
Our fabrics and clothing are developed and produced in Portugal by specialized partners.
We monitor the entire process closely: from yarn, weaving, and dyeing to sampling, finishing, and production. Nicolas visits the workshops and works directly with the people behind every garment.
Because those who have clothing made should also know who makes it.
